On March 5, 2023 Bologna will host an event of extraordinary importance for sport and for the city: institutions, organizations, associations, volunteers and some of the most important companies in the area will be united for a great party dedicated to running .

The main competition of 42.125 Km will be accompanied by the 30 Km dei Portici and, an absolute novelty of this edition, the RUN TUNE UP Half Marathon, the historic 21 Km race of the City of Bologna.

The last edition of the Half Marathon was held successfully in September 2019, and then stopped due to the health emergency and the great organizational difficulties it caused.

The idea of ??joining forces and skills for a single large project dedicated to running was born from the passion and the strong desire not to cancel an international event that boasts 18 past editions, as well as the availability of the organizers and the Municipality of Bologna of working in synergy to give the city a great sporting event.

The new routes will soon be unveiled, designed in collaboration with the Municipality and with the bodies involved to have the least possible impact on the city and to offer an interesting proposal, from a technical point of view, to runners from all over Italy and from various foreign countries. .
The start, finish and the village of the Marathon are confirmed in the splendid setting of Piazza Maggiore.

There will be many news that will be presented in the coming months, to prepare for a weekend in which the race and the city of Bologna will be the real protagonists.

The BOLOGNA MARATHON therefore restarts with a lot of energy and presents itself as one of the most relevant running events on the Italian scene for 2023.

Registrations for the Marathon and for the 30 Km dei Portici are open while those for the Run Tune Up will open on Wednesday 21 September.
